Hoosier Energy is a generation and transmission cooperative (G&T) that provides electric power and services to 17 electric distribution cooperatives throughout Central and Southern Indiana. Collectively, these local cooperatives supply electricity to more than 800,000 Indiana members.

Through Hoosier Energy's Economic Development's 2008 YTD efforts, an estimated 1,050 new jobs and $300 million in capital investment was created in member territories and an estimated 25 megawatts of additional load was added. Because of this dedication and contribution to Indiana's economic growth, the Hoosier Energy Economic Development program continues to be one of Indiana's leading economic development organizations.
