Mike Owens serves a Key Account Manager at Hoosier Energy where he provides customer service and technical expertise to industrial & large power accounts for 6 rural electric member cooperatives (REMC) in southern and southeastern Indiana. Mike has a broad engineering and management background working with commercial, industrial, and agricultural accounts.
Before joining Hoosier Energy, Mike served as key account representative/system engineer at Decatur County REMC for Honda Manufacturing of Indiana during the plants preconstruction planning, construction, and startup.
Prior to working at Decatur County REMC, Mike served through various mergers and capacities from Area Engineer, Planning Engineer, and Manager of Special Projects at Duke Energy Indiana. While at Duke, Mike worked with many industrial accounts in southern Indiana. He also worked in Duke’s non-regulated business sector managing a project with the University of Maryland.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
