As vice president of public policy and member services, Scott Bowers directs Hoosier Energy’s legislative- and economic development-related efforts while also overseeing its Marketing and Corporate Communications departments.

Prior to joining Hoosier Energy in July of 2019, Bowers served as vice president of government relations for Indiana Electric Cooperatives, the nation’s first electric cooperative service organization, strategizing, planning, developing and implementing its state and federal legislative, regulatory, political action and grassroots initiatives. He also worked as deputy secretary of state and chief of staff for then-Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita.

Bowers, who earned a degree in public policy from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, is also a graduate of the Indiana Economic Development Course through Ball State University’s Center for Economic and Community Development.
